Fence Staining

How long does fence stain last in Texas?
Our two-coat acrylic stain typically lasts 5+ years on a Texas fence before it needs a refresh. Sun exposure, sprinklers hitting the boards and the type of wood all affect how long the color holds. We back most fence jobs with a 3-year warranty.
Do I need to replace my old gray fence or can it be stained?
Most gray, weathered fences do not need to be replaced. Graying is surface oxidation. We clean and disinfect the wood to remove mold, mildew and the gray layer, then stain it — restoring the look for a fraction of the cost of a new fence. Boards that are rotted through should be replaced first.
When should I stain a new fence?
Ideally soon after it is built, once the wood is dry enough to absorb stain. Staining early protects new lumber before the Texas sun and humidity start to gray and crack it.
What kind of stain do you use?
We use an exclusive, water-based acrylic wood stain. It dries fast, resists flaking, chipping and fading, gives a natural (not glossy) look, and is safe for grass and landscaping — unlike many oil-based stains.
Can you match my HOA’s approved fence color?
Yes. We custom-mix colors on site and can match any HOA-approved color. Bring us the HOA color name or a sample and we will match it.
How much does fence staining cost?
Price depends on the linear footage, fence height, one side or both, the condition of the wood and the stain you choose. Estimates are free, we beat competitors’ advertised prices by $50, and you don’t pay in full until the job is complete. Call (210) 904-2526 or request a quote online.
Do you stain both sides of the fence?
We can stain one side or both. Many homeowners do the side facing their yard; HOAs often require the street-facing side. We will quote both options.
Do sprinklers affect my warranty?
Yes. Sprinklers that repeatedly spray stained boards wear the finish quickly and void the warranty on those areas, so we recommend adjusting heads away from the fence.
FAQ
Deck Staining & Restoration
Don’t see your question? Call (210) 904-2526 — a real person answers Monday–Saturday.
How often should a deck be stained in Texas?
Horizontal deck boards take direct sun and standing water, so they wear faster than fences. Most decks need attention every 2–3 years, depending on sun exposure, traffic and the finish used.
Can you stain IPE, Tigerwood or Garapa?
Yes. Exotic hardwoods are too dense for ordinary deck stain, so we clean and refinish them with products made for dense hardwoods to restore their natural color.
My deck boards are cracked. Can they still be stained?
Often, yes. Thicker elastomeric coatings are designed to fill cracks and resurface worn boards. Boards that are rotted or loose should be replaced first — we’ll point those out.
Is your deck work guaranteed?
Yes. Our deck work is backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee — if you’re not happy, we’ll do what it takes to make it right.
FAQ
Concrete & Pool Deck Staining
Don’t see your question? Call (210) 904-2526 — a real person answers Monday–Saturday.
Why seal concrete?
Concrete is porous. Sealing slows water from seeping into small cracks, which helps prevent crumbling, and helps the surface resist moss, mold and sun bleaching.
Can you restain faded stamped concrete?
Yes. Re-staining and resealing brings back the color and the contrast in the stamped pattern.
Do you work on Cool Deck around pools?
Yes. We clean and recoat Cool Deck to refresh its color while keeping its textured surface.
Is concrete work guaranteed?
Yes — concrete, stone and pool staining is backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
FAQ
Door Staining & Refinishing
Don’t see your question? Call (210) 904-2526 — a real person answers Monday–Saturday.
Do you remove the door to stain it?
No. Our technicians stain by hand with the door on its hinges. Hand application works stain into the wood better than spraying, and your home stays secure.
What kinds of doors do you stain?
Entry and exit doors, garage doors, garden gates and commercial doors — solid wood and hollow core.
Is door staining under warranty?
Yes. Most doors carry a 1-year warranty under our terms.
Can you match my door to my fence?
Yes. We can coordinate stain colors across your door, garage door and fence.
FAQ
Pergola & Gazebo Staining

Can you match my pergola to my deck?
Yes. We can match your existing deck or fence color, or recommend a coordinated shade.
Do you stain the tops of pergola rafters?
Yes — the upper faces take the most sun, so we stain every exposed surface.
What other structures do you stain?
Gazebos, arbors, playsets, porch railings and other outdoor wood structures.
FAQ
Stone & Flagstone Sealing
Don’t see your question? Call (210) 904-2526 — a real person answers Monday–Saturday.
Why seal flagstone?
Flagstone is porous. Sealing helps it resist moss, mold, staining and sun bleaching, and makes it easier to clean.
Will sealing change the look of my stone?
Many sealers deepen the stone’s natural color. We’ll talk through the look you want before we start.
Is stone sealing guaranteed?
Yes — stone work is covered by our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
